Key Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of building materials on both a global and domestic scale.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best deals.
Manage the entire procurement process, from purchase order to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials.
Maintain and update supplier databases and procurement records.
Coordinate with the logistics team to arrange shipping, customs clearance, and delivery of materials.
Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs to prevent supply shortages.
Collaborate with project managers and other departments to understand material requirements and specifications.
Stay informed about market trends, new products, and emerging suppliers in the building materials industry.
Ensure compliance with all relevant international and domestic trade regulations and company policies.
Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and market conditions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus but not necessary.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction or building materials sector.
Strong knowledge of both international and domestic trade regulations and import/export procedures.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
