We are seeking a talented and experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team, specializing in the procurement of both imported and domestic building materials. Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of building materials on both a global and domestic scale.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best deals.
  • Manage the entire procurement process, from purchase order to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials.
  • Maintain and update supplier databases and procurement records.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to arrange shipping, customs clearance, and delivery of materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs to prevent supply shortages.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other departments to understand material requirements and specifications.
  • Stay informed about market trends, new products, and emerging suppliers in the building materials industry.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant international and domestic trade regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and market conditions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus but not necessary.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction or building materials sector.
  • Strong knowledge of both international and domestic trade regulations and import/export procedures.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
